Meet Alfredia Lee
"The Great Coach"
Alfredia D. Lee is an educator, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, author, and community leader whose life’s work is centered on one powerful mission: helping people recognize their potential, develop their capacity, and create greater possibilities for their future.
With more than 20 years of experience in education, counseling, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement, Alfredia has dedicated her career to creating opportunities that educate, empower, and elevate individuals, families, and communities.
As the Founder & CEO of Greater Minds, Inc., a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2005, Alfredia has built an organization committed to empowering underserved youth through education, mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. Through Greater Minds, her work spans academic enrichment and confidence building, early childhood development, financial literacy, community outreach, health and wellness, and resident engagement; creating meaningful pathways for young people and families to overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
One of her signature initiatives is the Texas Great Phenoms Mentor & Scholarship Program, which focuses on empowering young women, particularly those from underserved communities, through scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and college preparation. The program has awarded $49,500 in scholarships, established its first mentorship cohort, and developed partnerships with institutions and organizations including Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, Blinn College, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Through Texas Great Phenoms, Alfredia is helping build a pipeline of academically prepared, economically empowered, and purpose-driven leaders.
Known for her dynamic and authentic approach, Alfredia has inspired audiences across schools, churches, universities, nonprofits, and corporations. She is a contributor on KTSU 90.9 FM and, in 2026, served as a moderator for the Texas Senate Community Conversation in Montgomery, Texas. Her work has also positioned her as a respected voice in education, empowerment, leadership, and community development.
As the author of Be GREAT and UPGREAT Your Day!, Alfredia challenges individuals to cultivate confidence, resilience, purpose, and an extraordinary mindset. She was honored as a featured author at the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference alongside notable leaders including Judge Greg Mathis, Congressman Jim Clyburn, and Iyanla Vanzant.
A Houston native, Alfredia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas Southern University, Teacher Certification from the University of St. Thomas, and Master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Beyond her professional and community work, Alfredia is an amazing wife to Bishop L.D. Lee, Sr., and the proud mother of three outstanding young adults. She serves as First Lady of Greater Vision Church, where she continues to pour into women, families, and the broader community through ministry, mentorship, prayer, education, and outreach.
Whether through a classroom, a community initiative, a scholarship, a speaking platform, or a conversation, Alfredia Lee is committed to one thing: helping people discover the GREAT within them; and giving them the tools, confidence, and opportunities to live it.
