Lead by Alfredia Lee and Ambassadors Karrington and Kennedy Lee, our Texas Great Phenoms Mentor & Scholarship Program empowers young people, with a focus on young women from underserved communities, through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership development, helping them overcome barriers to college affordability. Last year, $49,500 in scholarships went to recipients demonstrating academic excellence and entrepreneurial promise. Honorees have included Graceyn Hollingsworth of Gracie’s Corner (2 billion viewership) and Tyla-Simone Crayton of Sienna Sauce (5 million viewership), whose success stories inspire the next generation. In partnership with Texas Southern University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Prairie View A&M University, and Blinn College, the program connects students from low-income households with mentors in business, STEM, and public service. To date, the program has launched its first mentorship cohort and established a leadership framework for emerging leaders in business. By 2026, the program will award 10 new scholarships ($1,000–$5,000 each) and expand to three additional Texas campuses. This initiative is designed to scale across colleges and universities statewide, building a lasting pipeline of leaders who are academically prepared and economically empowered.
